people have always said love lasts forever

or love lasts a lifetime

a lifetime isn't forever

like time, people change

they aren't stable beings that exist and idle in their mood, feeling, and experiences

for a moment is all we have

now isn't even forever

seconds pass you by without one's acknowledgement

how can you measure what is forever if you do not have control

we must remain open to the changes we encounter in life

everything is changing.
